SECP has finalized and proposed amendments to the Companies Act 2017 with respect to:

  1. Provide further ease of doing business by removing the requirements of seal and practical difficulties being faced in implementation of section 17 and 83 of the Act;
  2. Facilitating Startups through conducive regulatory environment;
  3. Encouraging innovation and supporting new business models; and
  4. Enhancing corporate transparency and increasing investor confidence.

These amendments will now go through the legislative process before becoming a Law.
